Oakland, CA - Today, Operation Masks, Aiden Health’s nonprofit, nonpartisan sister organization committed to sourcing and delivering protective personal equipment (PPE), announced it will send $100,000 in face masks, hand sanitizer, face shields, and gloves to twenty grassroots organizations working to get-out-the-vote in the 2020 U.S. general election.
Way to Rise, the nonpartisan arm of Way to Win, is underwriting Operation Masks’ delivery of PPE at low cost to organizations engaging in nonpartisan voter engagement. PPE will ship directly to each group’s headquarters. Volunteers with these groups - listed below - are working hard to reach their constituencies about exercising their constitutional right to vote.

Way to Rise Senior Advisor, Nicole Boucher, issued the following statement:
“Community organizers at the state and national level are the most trusted messengers in communities. The current pandemic is only the latest barrier to sustained civic participation in communities of color that have been neglected by philanthropy and government. We’re proud to partner with Operation Masks to deliver high quality PPE that will enable volunteers to engage with voters in their community safely this election season. Together, we will ensure safety is never a barrier to getting out the vote.”
Operation Masks Co-Founder and Aiden Health President, Lily Liu, issued the following statement:
“Voter safety is vital to our democracy. That’s why Operation Masks, Aiden Health’s nonprofit, nonpartisan sister organization, has made supplying PPE to voters and volunteers a strategic priority this election season. Getting out the vote is a job in and of itself — staying protected while doing so should be the last thing these volunteers have to worry about. We’re proud to partner with Way to Rise to keep volunteers and their communities safe this election season.”
